Al Hamen

Al Hamen is the CEO of Runestone Electric Association based in Alexandria, MN. REA is an electric distribution cooperative serving 15,000 accounts in the rural areas of Douglas, Pope, and Grant counties in West Central MN.

Prior to joining REA, Al was CEO at STAR Energy Services in Alexandria from 1999 through 2020 and was employed by Otter Tail Power in Fergus Falls from 1991 to 1999 as an electrical engineer.

He is a North Dakota State University graduate and a registered professional engineer in MN.
